I am officially an aunt for the very first time! Late Monday night, my sister gave birth to a perfect baby boy and we all couldn’t be more elated! My mom and I were able to be in the room with her and her husband all day, through the induction, contractions, pushing (which alone took four hours – so proud of my sister!!!) and birth. It was such a special experience I’ll never forget! There were definitely some ups and downs throughout the day, but by 11:10pm the baby was out and both he and my sister were doing amazing. They should be going home today, just in time for Thanksgiving! This holiday season is likely going to be fairly low key for us as a family, which is great for me since I have SO many other things up in the air right now. Needless to say, we’re all very excited and can’t wait to cuddle him and shower him with love! SO much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!!
