Happy Wednesday! I’m back in Austin for the next week and a half, and when I tell you summer is here, IT’S HERE. Starting tomorrow and for the foreseeable future, it’ll be in the 80s every day! While I do enjoy warmer weather (more time at the pool!), it’s just a reminder that even hotter temps are coming to Texas very soon. I’m grateful I have somewhere else to be for the next three months! I’ll be in New York in May and June, and will be spending an entire month in California starting the second week of July. Unfortunately I’ll be back in Austin for probably THE hottest time of year, August… let’s just say I’ll likely be spending most of my time inside that month.

THE EDIT: TWP BAD HABIT

All this talk about warmer weather has me thinking about my summer wardrobe! Over the weekend in New York I picked up two pairs of denim shorts for summer. It’s actually the same style in two different colors – because when you find something you love, buy it in every color?! I normally don’t do that, finding jean shorts that fit well and are an appropriate length can be a complicated order for a tall gal like myself. This pair is the perfect classic blue wash for spring/summer, don’t you think? I went with a size 27. I also bought them in Fortune Cookie, which is the same not-quite-white wash as these jeans I love. So, I ended up sizing down to 26 in the Fortune Cookie color – they felt less restrictive than the Mode wash. See them on me here!
