As of Monday, I’m back in New York for the summer! Well, at least part of it. I’m here until the last week of June! I’m so thrilled to be back and for a longer stretch this time – and Reeses is with me too! I’m also excited, because my first house guest is arriving tomorrow. Spoiler alert, it’s my mom. I can’t wait to host her and introduce her to my apartment, show her around the neighborhood, etc! It’s going to be a tight squeeze with her, myself and my dog, but it’ll be great. The forecast for the weekend isn’t looking too nice right now, but I’m hoping that will change over the next couple of days! We’ve got some fun dinners planned, we’re going to hit up a museum or two, and will definitely be shopping around town.

One thing I’d like buy soon and will keep my eye out for this weekend is a new pair of black sunglasses. I’ve been wearing these practically daily since I bought them in the fall of 2022, and while I still love them I’m craving a different shape. I ordered these to try a couple weeks ago and they weren’t quite right on my face, but I’m hoping to find something similar – I’m loving that retro, rounded oval look right now! A few that caught my eye online include this $75 pair, this $40 pair and this under $200 pair… but I’m eager to try some on this weekend while shopping with my mom!
