With real spring weather only a few weeks away (hopefully), it means we can finally start pulling out all of our new season favorites like sandals (this fringe pair is on my most-wanted list) and shorts (these yellow shorts are insane). It also signifies a time for cleaning out our makeup bags and starting fresh with new products and colors. Just like with shampoos & conditioners, it’s important to switch up and play around with different brands and products from time to time. After fashion week I’m in desperate need of some eye TLC, so I’m picking up this cooling eye emulsion from YSL Beauty. Hopefully this product will help clear up my dark circles and make me look more awake for morning meetings. I’ve also found myself in need of a multi-function moisturizer, like Aerin’s Rose Balm, which will soothe and deeply moisturize lips, eyes, and other dry areas quickly. Since it’s just one product that works for every ailment, it’s perfect for travel (which I’ll be doing a lot of this season) or to keep in your desk at the office.
In addition to stocking up on some new basics (like this pretty nude gloss), I’m looking forward to adding more color to my makeup lineup with a pretty pink polish, a new shade of blush, and more of my favorite NARS Body Glow. Since I layer on this sunscreen and never have a tan, this product works wonders for giving my skin a subtle glow – I rub into my legs, arms and decolletage for an immediate bronzing effect (and it smells amazing!). I’m also dying to try Carven’s new perfume – sandalwood is one of my favorite scents!
