FOODIE FINDS // WHAT I'M EATING AND COOKING WITH NOW

As you guys already know, I cook for myself 90% of the time! I’ve shared some of my favorite go-to recipes and day-to-day eating schedule here, but thought it might be fun to share a few new discoveries and products I’ve been using lately and loving. Nothing super groundbreaking, but I often get asked what I love to cook with, what salad dressings I use, etc. Here are just a few things that are in heavy rotation at the moment!

TESSEMAE’S HABANERO RANCH DRESSING/MARINADE

If you love to add a kick to your salads, you MUST try this dressing! And I do mean a real kick. I love spicy stuff and eat spicy food all the time, and this dressing packs a serious punch!

WHOLE FOODS LIMITED EDITION CALABRIAN CHILI-INFUSED OLIVE OIL

This is my newest discovery (as of last week!), but I’ve already used it pretty much every day since. Instead of using only olive or avocado oil when making your next salad, roasting vegetables or sautéeing things (like zucchini noodles), go halvsies with this Calabrian chili-infused olive oil. While the Tessemae’s dressing I mentioned above is spicy, this oil is more potent – a little goes a long way to heat up a dish!! It’s delicious.

WHOLE FOODS ROASTED TOMATOES

I could totally make these myself, but have to admit it’s soooo nice to be able to just toss a few of these onto a salad for a quick, hassle- and mess-free lunch. They add SO much flavor!!! You can find these grouped in with the olives in the prepared food section of the store. I just buy a small container of them and throw them on salads all week long!

MARINATED ARTICHOKES

I looooooooooove artichokes! I use Arti-Hearts all the time when making omelets, sautéing zucchini and other veggie noodles, etc. I also really enjoy throwing them on salads to add flavor and a hearty feel without meat (I’m not meat-free, but don’t always want it). While I love using the packaged Arti-Hearts for sautéeing, I prefer the jarred, marinated variety for salads. They are more tender, soaked in oil and provide a lot of flavor! You can find marinated artichokes at Whole Foods, Central Market, and Trader Joe’s in the canned/jarred vegetable section.

UNSWEETENED APPLESAUCE

Obviously not something new, but just something I’ve been buying lately! I enjoy these as a little sweet treat – afternoon snack, post-dinner dessert, or if I’m ravenous after a workout. Applesauce is sweet enough on its own, so definitely buy the unsweetened kind!

TRAIL MIX

I try not to snack too much, but if I do I love the varieties of trail mix Whole Foods carries! It’s the 365 Everyday Value brand and there are so many options depending on your preferences. I really don’t like peanuts in trail mix, and luckily there are several mixes sans peanuts! My favorites are Kahuna Crunch and Berry Bounty.

CECE’S VEGGIE CO

From cauliflower and broccoli rice to pre-cut veggie noodles like zucchini and butternut squash, this brand is my go-to! It makes cooking healthy SO much more effortless. In addition to just the plain noodles that you can prepare however you like, they also have started making meals – organic butternut noodles with cheese (like a healthier version of mac & cheese!) and zucchini + marinara. I’ve tried the butternut mac & cheese and it is SO GOOD! I usually add sautéed mushrooms and diced chicken. Find Cece’s Veggie Co products in the refrigerated produce section!

PS: I know this sounds like it’s sponsored by Whole Foods, but it’s not. I just live down the street from one and shop there all. the. time!
