SpoOoOoOky season has arrived in the West Village! My favorite stoops are all decked out for the fall festivities, so naturally I had to take advantage during one of my shoots with Kate. This is probably the most chic example of autumn decor in the neighborhood, but every block offers something new to take in! If you’re a fan of pink, you’ll adore this darling setup on West 12th near the West Side Highway I saw yesterday on my morning walk. So pretty! I just love when homeowners go all out and give us a spectacle.
BOOT WEATHER IS FINALLY HERE!
I ended up wearing this look to dinner last week, and it was the perfect cute + cozy outfit for an al fresco meal this time of year. I’ve been waiting to wear this jacket for about a month, so was excited the temps dropped enough last week for me to debut it! The cropped silhouette makes it a flattering choice paired with my high-waisted jeans, and it’s a nice medium weight for chilly days and evenings. The fit is slightly oversized, but in all the best ways – I don’t feel like it’s overwhelming, it just gives me enough room to style over chunky sweaters as we head further into fall. It’s roomy, but still feels somewhat tailored. Love the neutral buttons and pocket details too! It’s cozy, but still feels elevated. I opted for the small and think it’s a perfect fit!
Y’all know I love a good beige boot, right?
Some favorite knee-high styles from season’s past that I still own and wear include this pair and this pair, both by Gianvito Rossi – what can I say, I’m a fan! I’m always on the hunt for new styles, because I find them to be so so useful. They’re versatile for wearing all through fall, winter and spring with a variety of colors, so I think it’s worth having a few silhouettes to rotate between. In terms of ankle boots, I have stretchy leather sock boots from Loeffler Randall from a couple years back (worn here on Thursday!), which are a very muted sandy beige color. This Chloe pair I bought last year is a super warm beige, almost orange in tone. And this year I decided to get a cooler-toned tan ankle boot that will be a nice alternative depending on what colors I’m wearing that night.
Below are some additional boots to peruse in similar soft neutrals – lots of chic looks for the seasons ahead!
- This pair is under $300 and looks like an amazing hybrid of my Loeffler Randall pair and my Chloe pair! It features the braided trim in the back like my Chloe boots, but with a similar shape, heel and tone to the LR boots.
- These knee-high boots look like a gorgeous option! The heel is wearable and the color is a pretty, toasty caramel color.
- I adore the slouchy look and lower heel on this pair! Fashion forward, but effortless.
- The taller shaft on these boots make them wearable with all lengths of denim! The unique heel sets them apart too.
- If you prefer the look of a Chelsea boot, don’t miss this pointed toe style!
- There are only two sizes left in these, but they look like Khaite!
PS: my Loeffler Randall boots are actually still available, just in a slightly darker tan! Such a perfect boot!
