After pouring through every section of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview, I do have some thoughts! While I think the clothing selections are actually pretty spectacular, I was not wowed by any of the shoes, bags or accessories this year. The beauty exclusives and home items are all pretty much repeats from years prior, so unless you’re just stocking up on old favorites there’s not a lot to report on there either! NSALE CAPSULE WARDROBE PICKS
Since many of you love shopping and getting inspired by my seasonal capsule wardrobes, whenever I share NSALE picks I always include a roundup of capsule-worthy staples! While this isn’t a true capsule as it doesn’t include accessories (see the paragraph above for why!), these are some of my favorite staples from this year’s Anniversary Sale that would certainly fit the bill. I was very excited about the wide variety of jacket styles included in this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! From sleek blazers to comfy, casual, throw-over-anything toppers, there’s something for everyone. I especially love all of the leather jacket silhouettes! They really branched out in terms of silhouettes this year. I’m eager to add this, this and this to my wardrobe!

As always, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale knocks it out of the park with sweater selections! I always snag a few, usually by Vince or Nordstrom’s own signature line – the quality is usually amazing! A few I will definitely be adding to my own cart include this short sleeve style, this striped cardigan and this classic black look. This color totally caught my eye too!

I don’t normally love the selection of denim in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Every year I try a bunch on and the fit never seems to be quite right? But this year’s product looks like it’s worth another go! I’m particularly interested to try this pair and this pair. Chic!

I was also very impressed with the selection of dresses this year! In past years, many of the dresses seemed to feature cheap-looking prints – something I absolutely want to avoid. This year we’re seeing more sleek, solid neutrals – the silhouettes are also a little more streamlined. A few faves include this, this and this leather number!

While I didn’t feel there was much newness in these categories, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a fabulous time to stock up on longtime favorites! For me, that includes this everyday t-shirt bra, this strapless bra, these thongs and this lash serum.

For some reason I don’t ever focus on activewear or athleisure when shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but this year I may be changing that! I’m really loving these soft hue sets – so gorgeous!
