On Tuesday I flew to Paris, but not before hiking uptown to check out the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale goods! It was actually my first time in the New York flagship store, and WOW did they have a lot of amazing merchandise. I found more than I planned to, but isn’t that always how it goes? Keep scrolling to see what I found in store and hear what I took home with me!

EVERYTHING I TRIED ON IN STORE AND PURCHASED FROM THE 2025 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
Color me surprised that some of my favorite items were pajamas and loungewear! I don’t think I’ve ever said that before when it comes to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m usually so focused on the fall merch I don’t really care about anything else! But I’m so thrilled they had these pretty blue pieces in store for me to try on. At first glance, the XS nightgown looked huge on the hanger! But luckily the little drawstring at the neck is fully adjustable, allowing you to tighten that closure right on up. It’s still a very comfortable, roomy fit – both in the dress and in the puff-sleeved arms. Bonus points – it has pockets!
On the right is this sweatshirt and lounge pant look from Zella in a very similar shade of periwinkle blue. It is insanely soft! As good as Varley but quite a bit less expensive. Both items are under $50 until the end of the #NSALE! I’m wearing the XS in the sweatshirt and small in the pants.

VINCE CASHMERE CARDIGAN
A Vince cashmere cardigan? Who is she?! JK, you know I’m always buying Vince cashmere during the #NSALE. It’s the BEST time to stock up on your favorite knits! I have quite the collection now from shopping the Anniversary Sale over the years, but this cropped cardigan is the latest to grace my closet. I love how it just barely skims over the top of my high-waisted jeans – the ideal level of crop IMO. I’m in the XS!
Of all the jeans I tried, these were my faves. Super stretchy and comfortable! They feature a high waist and a bit of a wide leg-meets-flare hem. I ended up not buying these myself, but do recommend if you’re in the market for fresh denim. I’m wearing the 25 in these!

LEATHER JACKET AND JEANS
The color is what drew me in to this leather jacket, but I adore the pointed collar look! It feels very fresh and modern… the perfect jacket for wearing day-to-night in the city this fall. You also can’t miss the tapered cut of the back… so chic! I’m wearing the US 4 here.
Kicking myself for not getting a full-length shot of these jeans, but I’ve shared several videos featuring them on the LTK app if you want to see the whole look! They’re such a nice dark wash for the fall/winter season and have just the right amount of stretch for comfort. I loved the patch pocket look, but ultimately decided not to keep them. I’m already overstocked on denim at the moment! I’m wearing the 26 in these.

COTTON TOP AND BROWN LEATHER JACKET
The scalloped, eyelet trim on this cotton top is divine! So sweet and yet still sophisticated enough for the office. I think it looks especially adorable under a jacket where the collar peeks out (see the right photo)! I’m in the small here.
On the right is this chocolate brown leather jacket I just couldn’t resist. Except on the hottest summer days/nights, I’m almost always wearing some sort of jacket in New York City – so a girl needs options!! I couldn’t decide between this one and the aforementioned BOSS jacket, so I ended up buying both. They’re very different styles and colors, so I think they’ll both end up being useful in my wardrobe during the fall/winter seasons. I got the US 4 in this jacket!

DENIM AND SUEDE JACKET
This lightweight denim jacket was not at all on my radar in the preview, but I beelined straight to it when I spotted it in store. The rich, dark denim paired with the faux woven leather collar (hello, Bottega!!) makes for quite the combo. The jacket is just a hint oversized, but in a good way – I’m in the XS here. Such a fun piece and an incredible price – this cutie is under $100!
I was super excited to try the suede jacket on the right! While I loved the fit and silhouette, I remembered a jacket I bought years ago from another store in the same color that I literally never wore. But if cognac is your color and something you’d wear a lot, this jacket is a winner! It’ll look just as chic with a tee and jeans as it will over an LBD this fall. I’m in the US 4 here.

PANTS AND SLEEVELESS SWEATER
This look surprised me most! I saw the pants on the rack and thought I’d give ’em a go (not thinking they’d look good on me), but was super impressed with the fit, quality and fabric. They’re a relaxed pair that would be a solid staple for transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall! Super lightweight and breezy. I’m in the size 2 here. I ended up not buying them in store, but considering I’m still thinking about them I may have to order now…
I also wasn’t sure I was going to love this sleeveless sweater, but you know I’m a sucker for Vince cashmere in this sale. I think the fact that it matches my new sandals sealed the deal? Either way, it’s a super soft, quality piece I’ll be able to wear on cooler summer nights and into fall later this year! I’m in the XS and it’s another effortless fit.

HALF-ZIP SWEATER AND SUEDE SHIFT DRESS
Varley had a number of stylish pieces in the #NSALE this year, but of all of them this set might be my fave. I love the soft neutral hues! The half-zip runs very large, so I suggest sizing down at least one size. The shorts fit true to size and have pockets! I would have gotten this but I already have so many Varley short sets I couldn’t justify getting another right now.
On the right is this darling suede shift dress! I was really on the fence about this one but decided to wait on it. I simply don’t wear dresses often in New York and fear I wouldn’t use it all that much. This would be SO fun for a Western-themed event or party this coming season though! It’s under $200 and the fit is spot on. I’m in the small here!

STONE-COLORED CARDIGAN AND POPOVER TOP
The covered buttons on the stone-colored cardigan are such a nice touch, don’t you think? The price is right with this piece at only $65 during the sale! A cute and comfortable style for wearing from work-to-weekend. I find this brand runs small – I’m wearing the small here and it fits perfectly. Because I ended up getting both aforementioned Vince cashmere sweaters, I passed on this one – but recommend if you’re shopping on a budget!
On the right is this lightweight striped popover – such an easy, swingy silhouette. A polished, high-quality find for casual, everyday wear! Size down in this one, it definitely runs big and boxy. I’m in the XS here.

LONG-SLEEVED TOP
I hadn’t saved this long-sleeved top when I perused the sale preview and wasn’t planning to try it until I felt it as I was sorting through a clothing rack… the fabric is heavenly!! Maybe the softest thing I tried all morning. Truthfully I don’t wear printed tops all that often so I didn’t end up buying it, but I sent a pic to my mom because she wears pieces like this a lot! It would be super cute under a navy blazer. Not sure if you can tell from the pics, but it is ruched up the center – it’s more of a fitted top, but as I said before… SO comfy!

TWEED JACKET AND CROPPED JEANS
If you’re in need of a tweed jacket for work or more sophisticated functions, this one is my pick from the sale. You can usually find a few different styles in the #NSALE – the other one I saw in store earlier this week was this Cinq a Sept silhouette. I prefer this VB look though – a little more elevated and the fabric looked + felt way more high-quality! They only had the 6 and larger sizes in store, but I would need the 4 if I were going to keep. Not something I’m necessarily shopping for at the moment though!
Another thing I liked but didn’t buy were these cropped ecru jeans. A flattering, straight style you can wear with all kinds of footwear. From sneakers and flats, to sandals and tall ankle boots, this pair is a style you can get away with year round! I’m in the 26 here.

CROPPED TRENCH COAT
This was one of the pieces I was most excited to try! You know how much I love a trench and how versatile I think they are, and this color + cropped, swingy cut immediately caught my eye. Unfortunately even the XS was a little too oversized for my liking. The fabric was divine though – a little thicker than I expected, so great for cooler weather… and so soft! I never would’ve thought a trench fabric could be that soft! So with all of that said I’d still recommend it, but only if you’re looking for a super oversized look – definitely recommend sizing down in this one.
SHOES

I didn’t have enough time to fully peruse the accessories, but I did take a look in the shoe department! I really wanted to try the maroon sneakers but they didn’t have my size – but I ordered them! So cute and comfortable for the coming season.
On the more budget-friendly side, the Steve Madden flats were the best looking shoes of the bunch. A solid everyday casual, comfortable shoe for work, the weekend, travel, you name it! They fit true to size. I’d probably get them in olive if I needed a new pair of flats for fall!
