As I mentioned in last Monday’s post, a trench coat is one of the easiest ways to add instant polish to any ensemble. Whether you’re catching a flight, commuting to the office, or out running a few casual errands, a neutral trench is an effortless layer that excels in both fashion and function. In all of the years I’ve been blogging, I have always owned at least one trench coat, but usually have a collection I rotate between. Cuts can vary so much, I find it’s nice to have a variety of silhouettes depending on what I’m wearing underneath and how I plan to style it. Remember the Club Monaco drape neck trench I was obsessed with in the 2010s? I swear I had it in four colors at one point. They were just so damn useful!
Right now I’m down to three trenches – the above Doen style I picked up in 2023 (it features a detachable cape!), this leather trench I recently snagged on sale during Cyber Week, and this budget buy from MANGO I’ve been wearing the last several weeks (and was featured in my Spring Capsule Wardrobe!). This Doen trench has proved especially useful on the most chilly, rainy days, as the fabric is heavier and holds up to the elements a bit better than the lightweight MANGO look. While I’m not necessarily in the market for another at the moment, if I were to add one to my collection it would likely be this. I just love everything The Frankie Shop does, and the price point is terrific!
If you’re on the hunt for a versatile topper to wear this season and beyond, below are some updated classics I’m loving right now:

TOP ROW: NORDSTROM TRENCH // MANGO TRENCH // VINCE TRENCH // TOTEME TRENCH // SEZANE TRENCH
BOTTOM ROW: THE FRANKIE SHOP TRENCH // EAVES CROPPED TRENCH // LAUREN RALPH LAUREN TRENCH // RAINS TRENCH // DAMSON MADDER TRENCH
