1. HEALTH

This piece may change how you think about rest because apparently sleep alone isn’t enough! It breaks down the seven types of rest you actually need — from mental and emotional to social and sensory, and explains why you can still feel exhausted even after a full night’s sleep. The idea is that different types of burnout need different solutions, like stepping away from screens, spending time with the right people, or just giving your brain a break during the day! It made me realize how often I default to thinking I just need more sleep, when in reality I probably need a different kind of reset entirely.

2. MARKETING

Brand names are getting borderline impossible lately, and once you notice it you can’t unsee it. From vowel-less words to names you genuinely don’t know how to pronounce (like Sydney Sweeney’s brand Syrn or Beyoncé’s brand Cécred), brands are basically being forced into these weird names because every normal word, URL, and trademark is already taken. The irony is that in trying to stand out, a lot of these names end up being forgettable — or worse, confusing. But the bigger takeaway here is that the name almost matters less than it used to. If the product is good (and the celebrity backing it is strong enough), people will roll with it. Still…I kind of wish we’d swing back toward names that don’t require a pronunciation guide.

3. STYLE

This article makes a pretty compelling case that personal style is moving away from algorithms and back toward something a little more intuitive! Instead of pulling outfit ideas from TikTok trends or Pinterest boards, people are turning to things like astrology, color analysis, Kibbe body types, and even crystals to guide what they wear. It sounds a little out there, but the underlying idea makes some sense — after years of being told exactly what aesthetic to try next, there’s a real desire to feel more individual again! I liked the takeaway that personal style isn’t about jumping between trends, it’s about figuring out what consistently feels like you and building from there.

4. CULTURE

This was an interesting look at why marriage is starting to lose its appeal across generations. Between dating burnout, shifting expectations, and the fact that women don’t need marriage in the same way they once did, more people are either delaying it or opting out entirely! There’s also a growing sense that modern relationships are expected to be everything: partner, best friend, emotional support system, co-founder of a life. It’s a lot of pressure for one person to carry! At the same time, it’s not that people don’t value marriage, they just want to get it right which often means waiting longer (or being more selective). I so feel this; I have a fabulous life I’ve built and I certainly don’t mind waiting for the right person — but it’s not something I necessarily need. (I share dating updates on my podcast, Off Script!)

5. SHOPPING

This piece dives into something I think about a lot in my line of work — shopping has gotten way too easy, and it’s starting to have real consequences! Between constant targeted ads and “buy now pay later” options, the entire system is basically designed to get us to click purchase without thinking twice! And while “shopping addiction” isn’t officially recognized as a disorder, the patterns are very real — debt, guilt, and the cycle of buying something hoping it’ll make you feel like a better version of yourself (and then it doesn’t). Obviously, because of my career, I purchase more than the average person, but I still try to give myself guardrails. It’s not about not shopping at all, but more about being aware of what’s actually driving the urge to buy in the first place!

6. CELEBRITY

Is it just me or is Anne Hathaway truly in her peak era?! Between the Devil Wears Prada 2 build up and the teasers for her new movie Mother Mary (where she plays a pop star), she’s never looked better! In this interview with Harper’s Bazaar she comes off so confident and grounded, like she’s fully settled into herself and it’s super refreshing to see. She talks about growing up alongside her career and choosing what feels right creatively and personally. Also… the visuals from this shoot? Unreal!
