POLISHED, CASUAL OUTFIT IDEAS FOR SPRING

In just over one week I will be flying back to Texas for ten days! I’m looking forward to spending time with my family, popping up to Dallas to catch up with friends, and enjoying the warmer weather. While we’ve had a handful of spring weather days here in the city, it’ll be awhile until I can go without a jacket or a sweater – whereas in Austin, they’ve already experienced temps in the high 80s and 90s! Needless to say I’ll be packing lighter fare and some footwear I won’t have a chance to wear for at least a couple more months.

We’ll be doing a big family brunch at my mom’s for Easter Sunday, so I’ll be packing this dress and my new Chanel cream slingback flats for the occasion. I figured this look would also be cute for lunch + shopping in Dallas, so it’ll be doing double duty on this trip (assuming I don’t spill anything on myself). The silhouette of this dress is super versatile – it’s an easy shift you can dress up or down, but the color palette is anything but ordinary… these colors together are so vibrant and eye-catching, don’t you think? Prepare to be sick of it, because I plan to wear it all spring/summer long! Fair warning, this dress runs pretty small – I ended up having to return the small for a medium, which luckily was a perfect fit. I haven’t figured out what else I’m packing yet, but it’ll likely be a collection of favorites from last year – I haven’t purchased much for the spring/summer season yet, with the exception of the beachy stuff I bought for Miami!
