I don’t know about you, but this week is THE week of holiday parties and gatherings for me! I’ve got a lunch today, a friend dinner Wednesday, Secret Santa Thursday, another friend dinner Friday, and two holiday parties Saturday night! And it’ll start all over again when I get back to Austin next week. This embellished tweed jacket and short set is the only holiday look I’d purchased this season, that is until I saw two darling dresses on sale at FWRD the other day. I ordered this red number and this velvet LBD to try! I was inspired by this Sportmax dress I’ve been drooling over but not wanting to spend that much money on, so was thrilled to spot the Rachel Gilbert lookalike marked down. I hope it’s cute on! The Sportmax dress probably would’ve been too short on me anyway, based on the photos I’ve seen of it online. If it works, it’ll be my other option for Saturday night’s parties (and probably the top choice for Christmas Eve dinner)!

I will be in New York for NYE, and this look is what I’m definitely planning to wear that night! It feels perfect for ringing in the new year, don’t you think? A welcome departure from a bedazzled sequin dress, but it still feels festive and fresh. I think the jacket looks especially chic worn as a top and buttoned all the way up! I’ll likely style it the exact same way as I’m wearing it here.
