PROENZA SCHOULER WHITE LABEL LIZZY FAIR ISLE SWEATER

Sweater season is officially here and I am loving every minute of it! This kind of weather is my favorite. The air is crisp and the leaves are changing, but it’s not so cold that you need a heavy coat yet. With the rest of my items having arrived from Texas on Wednesday, I’ve been organizing all of my favorite knits for easy access. This fair isle style by Proenza Schouler is at the top of the heap! My mom and I spotted it at the SoHo location while she was in town a few weeks back, and I loved the soft, chunky feel. The cream accents work well with my coloring, and I love the subtle hints of olive against the black backdrop too. Super chic and cozy! It also comes in a second colorway: a creamy backdrop with black and mustard accents!

My mom and I both bought a number of things at Proenza, actually! They carry both their main label and White Label (their diffusion line) in store, and had SO many chic items! I hadn’t been in their store in awhile and was really impressed with their current collection. My mom ended up buying this super soft printed turtleneck, which was SO her! I was tempted to buy it too, but for a layer like that I typically prefer a solid to a print… but the fabric is absolutely dreamy! It also comes in a dress version, which would be SO comfortable and stylish layered over tall black boots. I also bought these brown patent flats – I thought the notched vamp looked incredibly sleek! Truth be told I haven’t had a chance to wear them yet, but I can’t wait to! They’re very comfortable. Another item I was seriously tempted by was this pair of corduroy trousers! The color is something I’ve been majorly buying into this season, and the fabric and fit was super luxe. I just figured I might be able to snag them on sale in a month, so I waited. Going to see if they get marked down for Black Friday!!

Below are some additional items I’m eyeing from their current collection!

  • If you’ve got a wedding to attend in the near future, don’t miss this! I tried it on and it is heavenly. The color is breathtaking!
  • Speaking of fantastic blues, I was drooling over this suede trench. It’s definitely out of my price range, but holy moly is it beautiful!!
  • Proenza Schouler always does a wonderful job designing interesting tops and blouse silhouettes! A couple current favorites include this off-shoulder look and this cowl-neck leather style.
  • This boucle tweed wrap skirt is so elegant! A desk-to-dinner winter hero piece.
  • This slim-cut shearling jacket is cozy without feeling overwhelming or too bulky!
  • If you’re into the snakeskin look but don’t want the standard color/print, try this bag and matching sandal! Unexpected but incredibly cool.
  • The cut of this peplum jacket is very tailored and flattering! It’s kind of giving Khaite vibes, which you won’t hear me complaining about (especially since Khaite’s looks run about $1,000+ more)!
