I have been on an absolute denim spree over the last several weeks! Because I wear jeans practically every day in the city, it’s an item I like to have A LOT of variations in. From cropped cuts to floor-grazing looks, straight to wide to flare, and a spectrum of washes too, I want it all! Simply changing denim silhouettes can have a major impact on the vibe of your whole look. Since I’ve picked up a number of fresh styles for the cold weather season, I thought I’d review those and share some additional styles I’m eyeing at the moment.
This trouser style I’m wearing above is by TWP! I bought these at the goop store in Sag Harbor last month, and love that they’re a more sophisticated departure from the typical five pocket style. They’re perfect for casual Friday if you work in an office, or if you just prefer more polished denim looks. To balance out the wide leg bottom, I love pairing them with a more fitted top like this seasonal style from A.L.C.! The color of this top reminds of the Bronze Dore Birkin I tried on at Fashionphile in San Diego in August… drool! Another pair I picked up by the same brand is this ultra dark wash pair in a straight leg silhouette. I plan to mainly wear them with heeled ankle boots, as I don’t love how they look with flat shoes as much – they’re a little longer, and bunch up at the bottom if I’m not in a heeled shoe.
When considering my existing wardrobe for fall, I realized I was in need of a couple of new options in black as well. I really wanted a longer wide leg look to wear with everything from sneakers during the day to heels at night, so I ordered this pair by ACNE STUDIOS – obsessed! The fit is perfect, and the denim is soft and very comfortable. I’ve already worn them with Mary Jane flats here, sneakers here and pumps here! I also picked up a pair of my favorite Khaite Abigail jeans in Prescott, a subtly faded black. You can see them on me here and here! I now own that style in probably four or five washes? They’re super high quality, the fit is flattering and the cut looks great with flats and boots alike!

Not all styles are created equal, but I’ve found some pretty solid pairs in the last couple of years there – I just picked up this brown pair to replace a nearly identical style I accidentally stained with oil last year, and the fit is perfection!
