THE BEST DESIGNER BAGS TO SHOP THIS SEASON
Whenever I do Q&A or link request posts on Instagram stories, I almost always receive questions about what designer bags are worth the splurge and which styles I recommend at any given time. While I wouldn’t call it such a serious question as to label it “personal“, but I do believe it comes down to an individual’s own needs based on how they use their bags every day. We all have different lifestyles! For some, a large tote may be a requirement – whether you’re lugging around a large laptop and other important items to and from work, or maybe your everyday bag needs to double as a diaper bag.
For others like myself, I don’t like to carry a lot with me. I’m almost always only carrying a small card case, my keys, sunglasses, lipstick and my phone. I prefer bags that can go from day to night, which often means smaller, less bulky styles. So the styles that I might suggest may not be what you need or something you’d be willing to spend money on!
Current Favorites
But with that said, I definitely gravitate towards a certain look right now. So, I thought it might be helpful to share a selection of favorites. While I love a good Chanel bag and think the classic bags are a great investment, these days I’m leaning into less label-heavy looks. I prefer more minimalist, understated items – quiet luxury, if you will. No large logos, just streamlined, chic silhouettes in versatile neutrals. A bag I bought fairly recently that I have been getting a lot of use out of is this small Bindle suede tote by The Row! It’s a piece I kept missing, as it quickly sold out on several websites I normally shop.
Savette Pouchette
I almost gave up and bought a second Savette pouchette in espresso (I’ve worn my black one so much!), but happened to see ONE Bindle left in stock at NET-A-PORTER in November. I snagged it and the rest is history. Lucky for you, this bag has now come in stock at LUISAVIAROMA, MYTHERESA and FARFETCH! It’s one of The Row’s more reasonably priced styles, but that’s simply because there’s not much to it. It’s a very lightweight suede hobo that is just spacious enough to fit all of my usual essentials! Also, it’s going to be great for travel as it packs completely flat and weighs next to nothing, and it’s the ideal size for wearing day to night.
Alaia’s Le Teckel Collection
Another style I have my eye on and am tempted to buy into is Alaia’s Le Teckel collection! These baguette-style bags are oh so chic and definitely trending up. I’m personally attracted to the medium shoulder bag option – it’s a great size for wearing day or night, and it’s easy to throw over your shoulder! Not sure which color I’d get, but I am loving suede at the moment. Shop these looks and more of the designer bags on my wish list below!

PS: I know my boots were SO beat up by the time we shot these photos. It’s a pair I’d had for a couple years and worn practically daily in the fall/winter seasons. After the holidays I finally retired them and purchased a fresh pair because I love them that much – they’re just so versatile and look great with everything!
