Happy Wednesday! I’ve got a fun few nights ahead of me and with the weather a bit cooler, I’m definitely leaning into all of my fall outfits. It’s so exciting to be able to dress for the season so early! I’m not used to wearing sweaters in early October in Texas, so this is such a welcome change. I’m grabbing dinner with some new content creator friends tonight, going to a book launch party + dinner tomorrow night and then going to the ballet on Friday! And then Saturday, I’ll be watching the TX/OU game with some fellow Texans in the city. I’m also planning to preview the new Siena exhibit at the Met on Friday! Needless to say my schedule is filling back up after taking several days off last week to recharge after several weeks of back-to-back travel and social plans.
The Edit: Tanya Taylor Randi Check Print Wrap Coat
If you’re in the market for a new coat this season, I’ve seen several that have caught my eye in the last week or two! The one above is by Tanya Taylor, and features the most beautiful color combination of taupe grey, black navy and camel – such a useful mix of neutrals! This look also comes in a short jacket which I also could use for more casual looks. Shop more of my favorite coats this season below!
I tried this coat on at Saks on Monday and WOW I’m obsessed. It is a stunning ecru backdrop with a floral print outlined in cobalt, featuring some areas filled in with a darker beige and more of a peachy pink. You wouldn’t think this color combination would work, but it just does. Cobalt is going to be huge this winter, and I’d love to add this coat to my arsenal for styling with more bright buys! This coat is definitely me, but it’s out of my price range at the moment – I’m hoping for a sale in the next month or two so I can snag it at a discount!
Speaking of a discount, don’t miss this new GAP coat – it’s already under $300 and now on sale for $238. Such a chic piece, featuring this season’s trend of built-in scarf styling!
Wiggy Kit Coat
One coat I did already purchase for the season is this leopard print coat by Wiggy Kit! I saw it on her Instagram the day it launched, and couldn’t resist it. Such a fabulous vintage look featuring luxe velvet – leopard is definitely a neutral and I plan to wear this coat as such! I can’t wait for the temps to drop even more so I can start wearing this on repeat. I got the XS!
Another amazing plaid coat I actually shared recently in this EDIT series, is this Olina coat by L’Agence. The colors are truly intoxicating and absolutely scream fall. Even though the colors are a little all over the place, they all work together and would definitely make this coat easy to style if you have a lot of color in your closet!
This coat is wild, no pun intended! Leave it to Jacquemus to design the most incredible silhouette in a winter coat. This one is certainly a statement piece, but this style also comes in classic cream if you prefer a more subtle style.
If you’re hoping for something super simple and effortless, don’t miss this CO coat. It’s another one on my list! A great everyday neutral coat in a luxe wool and cashmere blend.
Finally, this double-breasted coat from MANGO is a designer-inspired staple! I’d get it in the chocolate brown color. Chic!
