You’ve heard me rave on and on about Khaite’s elite denim collection, but this small Sara tote was another item I’d been lusting after for months! I first saw the larger Sara style in store, and loved how the silhouette almost molded to your body when worn over the shoulder. While I loved that bag, I know myself, and I rarely wear totes these days – I just don’t carry that much stuff! I prefer styles that can be styled from day-to-night. About a month after I saw the larger Sara in store, I was perusing Khaite’s new arrivals on their website and discovered they had launched a smaller version of the Sara in a variety of colors! While all the colors were gorgeous options, the one I loved most was the off-white pebbled leather with studs… which just so happened to be the only color that sold out immediately. I added myself to the wait list to get notified via email if there were any restocks or returns, but never heard back – it just wasn’t meant to be!

On my last trip up to New York in March, I was finishing up a little window shopping afternoon in Soho when I decided to pop into Khaite just to see what else they might have. As I expected, I didn’t see the bag on display, but I decided to inquire with a sales associate as a last ditch effort to see if I could secure the goods. When looking through stock on her phone, it said the bag was out of stock but she decided to look around anyway. After searching through every drawer at the front of the boutique and going through stock in the back, she found THE LAST ONE LEFT IN THE COMPANY!!! I was beyond thrilled and bought it right away. This small studded Sara bag is definitely more trendy than I’m used to buying when it comes to investment items, but I couldn’t love it more. I feel like it’s a symbol of this new life I’m creating for myself in New York!

I did a little review of it here on Instagram, but wanted to give you the rundown here too! It’s the perfect size for me and fits all the essentials: card case, keys, sunglasses, lipstick, etc. I love that it lays flat, which makes it easy to pack and travel with! It fits very comfortably on my shoulder and stays put, so I don’t have to worry about it sliding off. I’m obsessed! As I’ve mentioned before, I’m definitely leaning into more modern pieces and looks up here in New York – this bag absolutely fits the bill and looks amazing with some other sleek staples I’ve picked up recently. Diving into a few of those below!

• This sleeveless mock neck top is a style that truly works in any season! It’s lightweight enough to wear in spring/summer as it is, but it looks super chic styled under all kinds of jackets and blazers. PS: It’s under $100!
• These slide sandals were an immediate add-to-cart for me, simply due to the wearable heel height. Perfect for the city! Did I mention the leather is unbelievably soft?! So so comfortable.
• I actually got this skirt in the fall, but prefer wearing it with sandals – I know it’s going to be useful up here this season! It just so happens to be on final sale right now. It runs big, so size down – I’m in the XS!
• Last week I ordered this rounded pair of black sunglasses and I can’t wait to get them in the mail! The sunglasses you see here are a Dior pair I’ve had for a couple years and wear all the time – I’ve been looking to add a new style to the mix.
• Another great tank I picked up for the season is this twisted style from Nordstrom! The fit is so flattering and cute on! Plus, it’s only $40.
