THE EDIT BY MERRITT BECK // FEATURING DOROTHEE SCHUMACHER DENIM LOVE JEANS AND JW ANDERSON POPCORN LOAFERS

Happy Wednesday! I’m loving this roundup of crisp classic styles, aren’t you? With spring cleaning on the brain, it’s a good time to go through your closet and get rid of pieces that no longer suit you, fit you, or inspire you. When I do this myself, I’m always holding onto the most timeless neutrals, classic silhouettes, and versatile staples, while getting rid of the more dated prints and trendy cuts. If you need some help with identifying what items are the most wearable and versatile for long term use, take a peek back at my past capsule wardrobes! You’ll notice I use a lot of the same solids and staples as building blocks when creating each capsule. A neutral trench coat adds instant polish and is a great go-to for work-to-weekend wear + travel! A crisp white shirt you can wear on its own with denim or layer under sweaters, blazers, etc for the office. Chic accessories in neutral shades that will transcend the seasons… it should give you a good idea for what to keep as you’re going through your own wardrobe!

PS: don’t miss my latest, the Spring 2024 Capsule Wardrobe which launched a couple weeks back! In it you’ll find 100+ outfit ideas for spring utilizing the best wardrobe basics you likely already own.
