Shooting outfits in New York is SO much more exciting than what I’ve been doing in Dallas the last few years! Because of the pandemic, I got so used to shooting content in and around my house. It was was the safe thing to do for awhile, but I think I eventually just used it as an excuse to not shoot content in public. I don’t really love shooting around town in Dallas, because I feel like I always bump into people I know and have definitely felt judged in the past! But being in New York is incredibly freeing. Nobody knows who you are, and on top of that, there are so many other wild things that happen here that nobody even bats an eye. From TikTok influencers shooting crazy things on busy street corners, to the many tourists taking photos of everything, and questionable (insane?!) things people are constantly doing in public here, a fashion blogger taking outfit photos doesn’t even register as something weird or embarrassing. Let’s just say I have a new perspective and a thrilling new outlook on the future of my content as I plan to shoot a lot of it here! It’s been fun to get back into something I used to love doing and actually enjoy it again. Plus, you can’t deny the backdrops here are absolutely gorgeous!

Shooting around the West Village has been an absolute dream. I only need to walk a block or two to be met with beautiful brownstones and charming cobblestoned streets! Seeing all of the stoops decorated for fall and halloween has been so fun too. I’ll be back right after Thanksgiving, so I’m sure I’m in for a real treat with the Christmas/holiday decor people will start displaying! Anyway, all of that to say, I hope you’re enjoying my New York content as much as I am loving creating it. Big changes are coming!!
