I bet you’re surprised to see me wearing a warm weather outfit in New York this time of year, right? Well, it seems I brought the Texas temps with me to the Big Apple my first week in town. It was unseasonably warm here last week, and because I was expecting fall temps, the only warm weather clothes I really brought with me were this bodysuit and a couple of lace camis to style under jackets! Luckily the temps have since dropped, but boy was I glad to have those sleeveless tops last week. Before we move on, I want to talk about these jeans real quick! I found them when I was in Aspen in August, and ended up buying this style in two different washes. I’m obsessed! The denim fabric is super soft, so not only are they comfortable, but the wide leg/baggy look is surprisingly flattering. These definitely run big, so I’d recommend sizing down if you don’t want to be swimming in them! I’m wearing the 27 here. They’re the perfect casual jean for wearing with sneakers for everyday wear!
Reeses and I are having so much fun exploring the city together! I’ve taken her shopping in Soho, we’ve walked up and down the Westside Highway, and I even took her to a Frenchie meetup at the dog park in Madison Square Park last Saturday. I think it’s safe to say she’s thriving and is officially a city girlie! To be honest, I wasn’t sure how dog friendly everything was in New York. Have I always seen dogs everywhere? Yes. But as far as taking her to restaurants or shopping with me, I wasn’t sure whether establishments would be into that. I’m delighted to say we haven’t had an issue yet! The only thing that isn’t dog-friendly is the fourth floor walk-up we’re in at the moment. It’s not impossible, but taking her out multiple times a day is a bit of a workout!
