Happy Wednesday! This weekend I leave Texas for cooler temps, and I cannot wait to get out of town! The highs this week have been hovering around 105, which makes doing anything outside pretty much impossible. Reeses has been spending more time on her little treadmill, because it’s too hot to walk her most days! Not only is it dangerous for puppy paws on the asphalt, short-snouted breeds like Frenchies have an extra challenging time expelling heat and tend to overheat more quickly/easily as a result. She’ll be coming with me on this adventure, and I can’t wait to give her a break from these crazy hot temps as well. I have a feeling she’s going to absolutely *thrive* in Carmel and Colorado! I’ve only flown with her once before, and while it went smoothly, I have a bit of anxiety about traveling with her. Fingers crossed our flight to Carmel goes well!!

Naturally, I’ve packed lots of chic sweaters, my new Hermes scarves, jeans and cute flats for Carmel, as well as some dresses, jackets and boots for my time in Colorado. I spotted this striped sweater in store at La Ligne in Highland Park Village a couple weeks back, but actually ended up going with this yellow style instead – I couldn’t resist it, because I knew it would match my Hermes scarf perfectly! La Ligne really does the best cashmere and wool scarves. They’re super high quality, and always incredibly soft and warm! Highly recommend.
