Last week was a bit of a doozy! After returning from a whirlwind trip to Chicago, I fell ill and spent about 35 hours in bed. I’m so grateful I put extra time in getting work done before my trip – I didn’t have to worry about getting anything done while I was feeling bad! After a few days things got back to normal, but truthfully I haven’t felt like doing much. I think the busy, super social trip combined with getting sick really took it out of me. I’m glad I have a full week to get my life together again before leaving for Carmel + Colorado!
Speaking of my travels, I wore this look in Chicago over the weekend and plan to pack it again for my next adventure! This dress is super comfortable and looks effortlessly airy, not to mention a fabulous blank canvas for unlimited styling possibilities this summer. The price point is also pretty great! I got the size small and I love how the fitted, smocked bodice fits me like a glove. On my trip to California earlier this month, I bought myself two Hermes cashmere scarves as a birthday gift to myself, and have already worn them both a number of times. If you buy a good print/color scheme, they really can be so so useful and a fun + easy way to add a punch of color to any outfit! I’ve gotten a lot of questions already about tips on how to style them, and tbh I’m still learning myself. I’ve been using YouTube as a guide, since there are so many great tutorials other creators have done over the years – start there!
PS: If you’re on the hunt for cute, lightweight earrings, these are the BEST!!!! I truly couldn’t believe how weightless they feel when I picked them up for the first time. They look heavy/expensive, but are super lightweight, comfortable and under $100! I’ve been wearing them nonstop the last few of weeks!
