RECENT TRAVEL FAVORITES FROM BRAZIL + ARGENTINA // MERRITT BECK

On Tuesday I got back home from my two week trip to Brazil and Argentina! More on that later, but I wanted to share some of the best and most-used items I packed. See below for some of the major highlights, and stock up before your next trip!

GABRIELA HEARST LYNN FISHERMAN SANDALS – I bought these sandals when I was in New York, and they have since become my FAVORITE shoe!! They are truly the most comfortable pair of shoes I own at the moment… and that includes athletic sneakers. They are super soft and while fitted, aren’t tight – there’s absolutely no wearing in necessary as they don’t rub at all! They are very expensive, but I’m honestly tempted to order them in another color because they are just that comfortable. I wore them all day every day walking around in Buenos Aires, as well as on my long haul flights to and from South America. Truly the perfect travel sandal/shoe for summer!!! I’m a 9.5 and took a 40, which is usual for me!

LOULOU STUDIO JERSEY MIDI DRESS – I discovered and purchased this dress several months back when I was creating my Spring Capsule Wardrobe! It looked like a wonderful wardrobe staple I could use nearly year round, and it ended up being the perfect piece to pack for my most recent trip. I ended up wearing it twice! I wore it exploring and shopping in Buenos Aires, and then again on my flights home at the end of the trip. It is SO comfortable and a great blank canvas, allowing you to style it any number of ways. It’s currently on sale and now only available in an extra small and a large, so I included a budget-friendly alternative in the collage. Buy my exact dress here, and the lookalike here! My exact dress is also available in white, pale blue and apricot here! For reference, I own the medium.

JENNI KAYNE CASHMERE COCOON CARDIGAN – I was gifted this cozy cardigan as part of my podcast partnership with the label, and it was an instant hit in my wardrobe. Not only has it been great for cozying up at my desk while I’m working from home, it was a repeat offender on this trip! I always get chilly on flights, and this was the perfect comfy layer for such long haul trips. I also dressed it up for dinner one night with the black dress mentioned above and heeled black sandals… so chic! I got the size medium, but could’ve gotten a small – it runs big! PS: it comes in a bunch of other colors! I own the color “oatmeal”.

OROTON MARGOT BUCKET BAG – If you’re on the hunt for a non-flashy and functional crossbody for travel, this bucket bag is a winner. The strap is adjustable, the bag fits a lot inside, and it features a zippered top for extra security! I actually bought mine a couple years back and it’s been a go-to for everyday errands and wear when I want to be hands free. The color I have is like a sandy beige, which they don’t make anymore, but it comes in whiskey (see above), navy, black or an olive green. Can’t recommend this bag enough!

LA ROCHE-POSAY ANTHELIOS 60 SPF CLEAR SKIN SUNSCREEN – I’ve been a fan of this brand’s sunscreen for several years now, but this was my first time trying this particular formula. What I love about this sunscreen is the Dry Touch formula – it’s not shiny at all and doesn’t leave any oily residue on your skin. I honestly felt like my skin looked more smooth and even in texture after putting it on! My favorite part though, is that it didn’t peel or clump up when applying my foundation over it, which is a problem I’ve had with a number of other sunscreens. I’ll definitely be buying more of this!!

ISABEL MARANT LECCE KNOTTED BELT – I’ve had this belt for several years now, but it got SO much use when we were in Cordoba last week! It added a stylish touch to my casual jeans + button down + cowboy boots outfits, and I also styled it with a couple dresses to cinch in the waist. It’s totally adjustable! I’d say it runs on the smaller side – I have the medium. The one I own is all black, but I just discovered they have a reversible option with cognac on one side and black on the other… that would be SO useful! Definitely a solid investment accessory for anyone in Texas or who likes leaning into western style at all.
