The last two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind, and now I’m about to head off on an another adventure! While I’m so excited to be heading to Argentina with my family, I feel like things have been go-go-go since my New York trip and I’ll definitely be looking forward to a more calm June once this trip is over. Today is actually my assistant Liza’s last day, after four years of working for me! She has been such a great right hand and I’m so so thankful for her help over these last few years. We were both just ready for a change, and I’m so excited to see what she does next! Thank you, Liza, for all of your hard work!
With Liza’s departure, I’m going to be making some changes internally in how I run my business. For one, I won’t be hiring another full-time employee! While working traditional office hours each week with Liza in the office had made me very productive and able to churn out a lot of blog content/collages, I’m ready for a more flexible schedule and want to go back to outsourcing tasks on a freelance basis. I’m excited to not feel chained to my desk anymore, and getting that flexibility back will allow me to travel more and work from anywhere again! I’ve already hired a podcast editor which has helped me loads, and I’m also looking to hire a freelance marketing person to assist me with my newsletter and some LTK content. I’ll be shooting more with Becca too, which will take photo editing off my plate!
I don’t plan to make any changes to my content at this time, but there may be a bit of a transition period as I adjust to my new schedule. As a business owner, I always want to be tweaking processes and improving my content, but also my quality of life. The goal is to work smarter, not harder, which is something I have struggled with in the past, and it’s something I think I’m really ready to take advantage of now that I have a bit more freedom again!
