The past weekend brought with it a major cold front to Texas! We’ve had about a week of 80 degree weather, but now we’re down to highs in the low 50s. Just like that, the weather turned on a dime – which, if you’re not from Texas, happens quite often. With that said, it looks like the chilly temps will be sticking around for awhile! I hope they stay through Thanksgiving so I can wear some of my cute new fall faves when I go home for the holiday… I feel like most years I go back to Austin for Thanksgiving it’s not even cold enough for sweater weather!!! Fingers crossed the big chill hangs around.

In the spirit of the season and the recent cold front, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite cold weather + winter finds from Nordstrom! From comfortable boots that’ll keep your feet cozy, to functional coats that go from dog walks to everyday outfits, there’s something for everyone. I recently picked up these lug sole boots and adore the shearling trim! It adds an instant cozy factor, and the color scheme is perfectly on point with the fall/winter neutrals in my wardrobe! Another item I picked up for the season is this quilted puffer jacket! In an eye-catching, rich rust hue, it’s an everyday style that makes a statement! It’s super functional too. I love the optional hood, large pockets and the fact that it’s machine washable. I definitely plan to wear it on walks with Reeses, as well as for more casual outings like errands, travel and brunch. Did I mention it’s under $200? I’m wearing the size 6 here!
