REAL OUTFIT IDEAS INSPIRED BY THE SUMMER 2021 CAPSULE WARDROBE

Something I wanted to start doing an addition to creating my capsule wardrobes, was sharing my real outfits inspired by the capsules! I don’t buy a new wardrobe each season (and I wouldn’t recommend that!), but I do love to pick up a few fresh pieces here and there to mix things up. That’s sort of how I frame the capsules themselves! I include a bunch of great year-round basics (like a white tee, classic blue jeans, etc), and a handful of more festive, seasonal pieces that you can mix and match with easily throughout the summer. In my most recent capsule I featured a colorful floral blouse, which while vibrant, is actually super versatile and easy to dress up or down! To share how I would personally style it or something similar, here are some real outfits inspired by the looks in the Summer 2021 Capsule Wardrobe. I’m planning to share a few of these posts, so breaking them down by the hero piece – in this case, it’s the printed blouse.

My blouse is by Banjanan, one of my go-to contemporary brands these days for pretty prints in lightweight fabrics. It’s more expensive than the Boden blouse (more sizes available here!) I featured in the capsule wardrobe, but the print is to die for! I also just love the flowy, airy look and feel of it – perfect for hot Texas summers! As I’ve said before, since I don’t own every exact item in the capsule, a lot of the items I’m wearing in the below outfits are old and similar pieces I already have.
