As you probably saw on my Instagram, Dallas’ usually mild winter weather went a little haywire over the weekend. We got several inches of snow and temps dipped to nearly zero degrees! The temps are supposed to stay very low through the rest of this week, so the roads are still expected to be bad through at least Friday. With the pandemic, I’m used to staying home at this point… but not really being able to get out of the house for a walk with Reeses has definitely given me some cabin fever! The snow has been so beautiful though, and naturally I’ve taken dozens of photos to capture my new house in this winter wonderland. A follower of mine suggested getting a photo of my house in the snow turned into a small watercolor/painting, and I love that idea! This is a once-every-30-years type of winter storm for Texas, so I definitely wanted to document the experience of all this snow.

Since I haven’t left the house, I haven’t worn real clothes much… but I did have a chance to pull out my snow boots and heaviest parkas! I never thought I’d see the day when I’d need these items in Dallas, but here we are. Glad I could get some use of out them! Most of what I’m wearing here is old, but I thought this would be a good time to roundup some sleek outerwear options and snow boots.
