With Early Access opening up to every Nordstrom cardmember tomorrow, today I thought I’d share some of my favorite basics and closet staples included in this year’s Anniversary Sale!
SPANX FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS
If you saw my Instagram Stories on Monday, you saw me try on these super flattering faux leather leggings. They’re very high-waisted and long, which is great for me considering I’m 5’9! I also own these faux leather leggings by Commando which are quite different. The Commando leggings are thicker and look a bit more like real leather, but they aren’t as supportive/fitted and feature a raw hem. The Commando leggings are high-waisted as well, but are not quite as long as the SPANX leggings and aren’t as slim at the ankle. I love both pairs, but I’ve gotta say I’m head over heels for the fit of these.
NORDSTROM SIGNATURE CASHMERE SWEATER
The sweater I’m wearing in this post is a find from last year’s sale but the same brand has a very similar sweater in the same color this year! The cashmere is suuuuper soft and luxe, and the color couldn’t be more creamy and versatile. Such a cozy find for when the temps drop!
HANKY PANKY THONGS
I LOVE Hanky Panky! These have been my favorite thongs for over a decade. I have a bunch of the regular rise style, but a couple years ago a reader told me about the retro rise thong and it’s my current obsession. The retro rise is higher, which makes it ideal for wearing under high-waisted jeans, pants and skirts, as well as smoothing things out under dresses and all kinds of other things! So comfortable too. I got five new pairs of the retro in ‘sand’!
MARC FISHER OSHAY POINTED TOE BOOTIE
I ordered these heeled ankle boots to try in two different colors – the cloud suede and the cognac suede! Both are excellent transitional neutrals that would go with so much in my wardrobe. I love the sleek pointed toe and how it elevates the more casual wooden heel and Western vibe of the boot! These boots are also available in black leather, if you’re looking for something more all-weather. PS: they’re on sale for under $100!
VINCE CASHMERE CREWNECK SWEATER
Another favorite from a past Anniversary Sale (two years ago, I believe?) is a simple grey crewneck Vince cashmere sweater. This year, they have nearly the exact same style in three gorgeous colors! I love it in black or the light heather marzipan color, but it’s also available in pink for you color lovers. It’s just a simple, cozy, and high-quality staple for fall/winter!
NATORI BRAS
When I’m not lounging in my SPANX stretchy bra, I’m usually wearing one of Natori’s gorgeous and comfortable styles like this! I love how elegant the designs are, while still being wearable and flattering under clothes. I got this bra in hazelnut!
CHELSEA 28 LEATHER MOTO JACKET
I have a nearly identical jacket to this one from the 2017 Anniversary Sale! It is still a fave that I reach for every fall/winter and when I travel. It’s not the traditional edgy biker style you often see, but a more sophisticated drape-neck style! A little more polished and feminine, in my opinion.
LEITH COZY LONG CARDIGAN
I don’t own this cardigan, but if it’s anything like the two sweaters I have by the same brand from past Anniversary Sales – IT’S GOOD. This cardigan comes in *eight* colors and is on sale for only $40! Such a great style for lounging, errands, travel and it’s so easy to dress up or down! I would get it in the beige oatmeal heather color, or basic black.
