If you’re like me and ready for fall weather, you may be looking for ways to dress for the season without it actually feeling like the season yet! I am SO looking forward to cooler weather, but while I wait I must resist the urge to wear sweaters and boots. I am heading to the Hamptons in mid-October, so at least I won’t have to wait too long!

In the meantime, I’m reaching for lightweight classics like this black lantern top from Everlane. It’s super soft and silky, featuring 3/4 length sleeves and a v-neckline button front. It’s a relaxed fit, so I took a size 4. To make this look feel more “fall”, I paired the top with these dark wash jeans and this autumn-ready cognac bag. The strap is adjustable and the interior is very spacious, making it ideal for travel or a long commute! A quick sizing note on the jeans – they have zero stretch, so size up if you’re worried about fit!

Everlane has quickly become a go-to brand of mine for everyday staples. They have so many effortless styles and the price points are amazing for the quality of the clothes! Below are five pieces you need to know about for the season:

  1. I purchased this sweater in ivory and grey ahead of my London trip this summer and fell head over heels! I’ve worn both sweaters several times already when traveling, but can’t wait to pull them back out soon in Texas! I took a size small.
  2. Meghan Markle wore this exact jumpsuit in black earlier this week in South Africa! The black version will be restocked/shipped) in November (you can still order now!), but I’m loving the cocoa brown option for wearing this fall! The color is perfect for UT games/events!
  3. This neutral plaid blazer is a desk-to-dinner essential! Style it with everything from black sheath dresses to distressed denim.
  4. If you’re on the hunt for a fall/winter flat, don’t miss this loafer. So sleek, and a good close-toed and close-heeled option for cold weather! They run small – size up a half size!
  5. Love the tied cuffs on this washable-silk shirt! Such an elegant everyday staple.

PS: Meghan Markle also wore these exact flats while traveling to South Africa earlier this week! I have them in two colors and they are so chic and comfortable. The slingback, pointed-toe style is sophisticated, stylish and timeless! The color Meghan wore promptly sold out, but there are three other great colors to choose from here.
