Do you guys remember this dress? I’ve worn it all spring and summer long. It’s the softest, most comfortable fabric, and the easy silhouette makes it a breeze to style day or night. After having so much success with that dress, I decided to try another piece by the same brand! I’ve been meaning to get a couple of black shirts that are not dressy, but also not too casual – so basically something simple that’s not a tee or a “going out” top, but a style somewhere in the middle.

When searching Shopbop for black shirts, I found the brand that created the dress I love also made a chic black button-down! Upon further inspection, I discovered this shirt was made of the same cozy-soft fabric and absolutely had to order it. I’m so glad I did! The fit is perfect and it looks just as good with jeans as it does styled for a night out with a miniskirt like this (on sale!). For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the shirt and a medium in the skirt! This shirt also comes in white and purple.
