If you love French style, allow me to introduce you to Sézane. I first heard of this brand in 2016 from a blogger I’ve followed for almost as long as I’ve been blogging, Sincerely Jules. I remember thinking all of the pieces she featured on her blog were so effortless and chic, and pretty reasonably priced too! It wasn’t but a year later that they opened their New York flagship store, L’Appartement New York, in Nolita. Naturally, I stopped in on my very next visit to the city!
If you’re a sucker for an in-store shopping experience, you definitely can’t miss Sézane. The entire store is absolutely beautiful, featuring a wall of bookshelves lined with sweaters, handbags, shoes, accessories and more. In addition to high-quality accessories and leather goods, they have an entire collection of stylish and sustainable clothing!
While in Provence in June, Meghan and I decided to plan a stop in Aix-En-Provence. We were delighted to discover Sézane has a boutique located there! While a slightly different layout than the New York store, it had the same warm, welcoming feel, friendly sales associates and beautiful pieces. Don’t miss the locations in Paris and London too! While I’ve picked up a couple of accessories and gifts on my visits to the Sézane stores, this summer is the first time I’ve ordering clothing from their online store! From breezy sundresses and rich leather handbags, the Sézane summer collection has something for everyone. As you’ve heard me say more than once this year, I’m really into skirts at the moment! I’ve picked up quite a few styles the last few months, but nearly all of them are pretty polarizing in terms of the seasons – I have brilliant florals that look super summery, and thicker knits and leather that only work for fall/winter.
When I saw the Amandine skirt, it checked all of the transitional boxes in my book! The rich, autumn colors paired with a breathable, lightweight fabric make it the ideal choice for the Indian summers here in Texas. With the weather not cooling down til late October, I have a feeling I’ll be pulling out this midi skirt a bunch. I’m wearing it now with white and cream tanks, tees and shirts (like Sézane’s Tomboy shirt!), but come September/October I may have fun with color and coordinate with the forest green or rust hues featured in the print. If this print isn’t your jam though, it also comes in a gorgeous solid coffee color, solid indigo, and a white skirt with multi-colored heart embroidery.
If you’re looking for some good summer-to-fall transitional pieces like I am, don’t miss these other items on my Sézane wish list:
- This rust-colored maxi looks like such a great piece you could dress down for brunch or dress up for an early fall wedding!
- Y’all know how much I’m into croc-effect accessories for fall… so it should surprise nobody this bag is on my list!
- The print on my skirt also comes as this easy, breezy tiered minidress! Perfect for a super hot day.
- While I probably wouldn’t be able to wear it until October, this suede skirt is everything.
- The print + color scheme on this blouse (in the Havana Green color!) is sooooo pretty! Style it with dark wash flared jeans for a retro-chic ensemble.
- This linen/cotton terracotta midi dress has my name written all over it!
- Love a backless look? Don’t miss this dress in Moka. Such a versatile hue!
