Apparently I’m on a new denim streak, because I’ve bought TWO fresh pairs in just the last month! This is unusual for me, as I am a serious creature of habit – once I find a pair I like, I wear that same pair repeatedly until I wear a hole right through them! For example, I love this pair of skinny jeans so much that I bought a second pair in the exact same size and wash just because I wear them so often. Probably silly, but I like what I like!

As you heard me mention here, skinnies seem to be on the way out and the straight leg jean is on the rise. After months of struggling to find a pair that was flattering on my hippy figure, I found these and have loved them! Because of that success, I decided to give another style by the same brand a try for a slightly different look and I love these too. I’m shocked I’ve had so much success finding flattering mom jeans, but it all comes down to the brand. Citizens of Humanity just looks better on me than other denim labels – the pockets are bigger, meaning they help minimize a bigger bum! They also just use very flattering washes, and the hem lengths are always perfect on me!

Anywho, what I love about this latest pair is that they are a high-rise slim-leg style in a more rigid denim, with a cool destroyed hem (but only on the back)! It’s sort of a business in the front, party in the back situation. I think they look rad with stilettos, don’t you? Needless to say, Citizens of Humanity has made me a believer in all denim styles – highly recommend this label for high-quality, flattering jeans!
