While I consider myself to have a classic, polished look most of the time, I wouldn’t consider myself a fashion rule-follower by any means. White jeans for example, are supposed to only be worn during the summer months – Memorial Day to Labor Day, so the rule says. I, however, believe white denim is a year-round essential. If you’re getting sick of your winter jean go-to pairs and want to mix things up, pull out your favorite white pair and try something new! For the record, this has always been my favorite pair.
If it’s still cold where you live, I’d recommend styling your white denim with a soft neutral sweater and coat for a cohesive look – that way you still look weather appropriate, but your outfit hints at spring with a pretty color palette. Keep the look tonal with neutral accessories – so chic!

As the temps rise, swap out your heavy neutral coat for a more lightweight trench like this. To keep this pairing from looking too random, style it with a black tee that pulls in the black from the buttons. Top this outfit off with simple black accessories like a solid tote, pointed-toe pumps or casual mules if it’s the weekend. You could even swap the shoes for heeled sandals and grab a clutch for a cute post-work drinks date!

Since it gets hot and humid in Dallas pretty quickly, a spring look that I tend to gravitate towards is a white jeans + cami look, topped with a lightweight blazer. I try to get as much wear out of my white jeans in spring, because during the summer months it is just too darn hot to wear any kind of pants outside! As you read in Wednesday’s post, I practically live in sundresses from May-September.
