I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! While LDW signals the end of summer, I know we’ll be feeling the summer heat for quite awhile here in Texas… which is why I’m looking forward to one more escape from the heat this summer! On Friday I head to Vail with my friend Katie, and I’m so excited to have a relaxing girls trip. The weather is supposed to be PERFECT – high in the low 70’s, low in the low 40’s. Needless to say I’ll be packing up my favorite sweaters to wear while I’m there. I never get the opportunity to wear heavier pieces until around November-December here in Dallas, so I’m taking advantage while I can!!

I’ll also be packing my hiking boots, as Katie and I are planning to go on some adventures and tackle a few mountains while we’re there! We’ll see how they compare to the Swiss Alps soon enough… I’ve also already made reservations at restaurants like Sweet Basil, Mountain Standard, and more, but if you have any recs please comment below and share!
