Remember the #icepocalypse that hit Dallas a couple weeks ago? Well the night of the big storm, Google invited me to a Dallas Drybar event promoting their new tablet, the Nexus 7. As you may have guessed, I wasn’t able to attend due to the weather (and the fact that I had to drive to Austin for an event that was happening the next day). I was super bummed I was missing a chance to party with Google – wouldn’t you be too? Well to my pleasant surprise, Google sent me the Nexus 7 anyway as a holiday gift. Pinch. Me. Now. I have never owned a tablet and have always been attached at the hip to my laptop for the sake of this blog, but I’ve lately felt behind the times with my sometimes bulky, always heavy computer.
