THE UNDER $100 FLATS I WALKED 15,000 STEPS IN LAST WEEK

While I’m all about investing in quality staples, I also love a good steal when I find one! While perusing Northpark Center in Dallas in early April, I stopped in Steve Madden and picked up these jelly flats along with this chocolate brown suede style. Both shoes are lookalikes for less – the former is reminiscent of The Row from last summer, while the latter is a dupe for Le Monde Beryl’s Luna flats. Having picked up several new chocolate brown items during the fall/winter season, I knew these flats would come in handy!

I wore this outfit on Thursday, which was a beautiful spring day in the city! When the weather is nice, I try to take every advantage of the weather and spend as much time as I can outside – that often means taking a longer route by walking to appointments vs taking the subway. I ended up walking over 15,000 that day, and these flats were comfortable every step of the way! I didn’t experience any rubbing and they required zero breaking in. Although suede isn’t exactly the most durable fabric for city living, because of the dark color and the price I’m not super concerned about it. With that said, I did spray them with this before leaving Austin at the end of the month!

I can’t speak to how well they’ll hold up over time yet, but so far so good – I’m super impressed with the quality, fit and comfort of these flats! Highly recommend if you’re on a budget and looking for a stylish shoe for everyday wear. In terms of sizing I got the 9 in both – I’m normally a 9.5!
