My birthday was several weeks ago, but today I’m showing off a not-so-little gift I bought myself for the occasion! While shopping in San Diego, I stopped in the Hermes store in the UTC shopping center and found not one but two gorgeous cashmere scarves. I was texting with my mom and sister about which one to buy, and ended up settling on both! The first scarf you saw here and here – it’s a little more spring/summery in terms of color scheme, and I just knew it would look amazing with so many things in my closet. The second is this bold print featuring not only eye-catching primary colors, but rich hues that’ll look fabulous as we head into fall/winter! When I tried it on in the store, I’d hoped – but wasn’t totally sure – of how useful it would be. Much to my surprise and delight it goes with SO MUCH!
In planning my trip to Carmel and Colorado, most of the outfits I packed were created around these scarves… so expect to see them a bunch! This one I’ve packed to style with navy, red, cream and brown items, while the other I’ve packed to styled with yellow, beige, and white. Needless to say, I’m thrilled to have added both scarves to my wardrobe! Although very lightweight, the cashmere is super warm and a great added layer for a flight, dinner al fresco, and more. There are many ways to wear and style these large square scarves, and I’m still playing around with them. I’ve been following a couple of different Youtube video tutorials, which has definitely helped! Here I’m just wearing it as a shawl to show off the incredible print – I’m just obsessed.
