If you’ve been following me for a few years, you’ll likely remember the name Jenn Thatcher! Jenn is a local Dallas artist who has been kind enough to make me a number of pieces for my home. I actually first discovered her work at a small trunk show with a variety of other local businesses, and bought one her Black Jack pieces on the spot! It’s one of my favorite art purchases to this day, and currently sits on the top shelf of the living room bookshelves (see it here – it’s the piece on the far right). After that, Jenn reached out about gifting me some custom pieces for my new (now old!) home. She did this more colorful piece for my old office, and this subtle triptych for my dining room. At the new house, the colorful piece is in one of my guest rooms, while the triptych is in the “game room”, aka my second floor landing behind the card table. Her art is so beautiful and effortless – it truly looks amazing in any space, big or small! She has a variety of ready made pieces in all kinds of sizes and price points on her website, so check it out here to shop… or contact her to commission a custom painting!
While she’s certainly known for her art, she recently launched a new endeavor… designing clothes! She dropped off a few pieces from her namesake collection a couple weeks ago, and this Marlowe top is my very favorite of the bunch. It is elegant and classic, but with unique and feminine details. The ruffles! The V-back! Such thoughtful touches on a wonderful wardrobe staple. Another piece I’d love to get my hands on once the temps rise is this Olivia top – so darling! The pieces are made of the highest quality cotton poplin – they’re crisp, but very comfortable. If you love her longhorn art, you’ll adore this bow top – it features her signature longhorn artwork printed all over. Super cute! Congrats, Jenn, on such a beautiful collection!! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Quick note on sizing: Jenn gave me a heads up that this initial collection ran very, very small. She’s working on adjustments for future collections, but in the meantime size way up! I’m wearing a large in the Marlowe top you see here.
PS: I shot this outfit when the temps were really nice and warm a couple weeks ago!!! Naturally, Dallas is under a winter storm warning today. It’s been way below freezing most of the weekend and snowed a bunch yesterday!!! So crazy!
