Today’s post is a long one, but I’m SO excited to share all of the photos from my meet-up + stay at The Langham in Chicago! First I’m going to share all the details on the meet-up, but scroll down if you want to read my review and see pics of the rest of the hotel.
Because I was considering a move to Chicago, I really wanted to make a splash with a fun reader meet-up on my trip. Gotta make a good first impression! After a mediocre experience with the venue I used in New York (it definitely wasn’t my usual vibe!), I decided I wanted to do my Chicago event somewhere more special. Naturally, I thought of The Langham! While I’d never stayed at this Chicago hotel, I did stay a few nights at the Hong Kong Langham a few years ago and had the best experience. I reached out to the PR team at The Langham in Chicago to see if they had any venues appropriate for this sort of event, and they recommended the Travelle Lounge. This spot is just off the restaurant and lobby, and features a bunch of standing and seating space – perfect for a happy hour!
The space is so beautiful and overlooks the Chicago riverwalk, which felt idyllic for the occasion and purpose of my trip. Honestly, the only thing I needed to add to make the space complete was a cute sign letting everyone know where the party was! Thanks to my girl, Katherine, for designing it to match my Paperless Post invitation! The turnout at the event was amazing, and I’m so glad I got a chance to meet and chat with all of you. It was truly such a warm welcome to the city and I can’t wait to do more of these types of events in the future! PS: Travelle was super easy to work with and even treated everyone to a champagne toast and light bites on the house! I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking to host an event in Chicago – couldn’t have been happier with the service and space.

HOTEL REVIEW: THE LANGHAM CHICAGO
Just like my stay at The Langham in Hong Kong, I had the BEST experience at The Langham in Chicago! Not only are the rooms large, comfy and well-appointed, but the service is truly unparalleled. The staff is all so friendly and helpful, and they do their very best to make sure you have everything you might need during your stay. I’m ashamed to say I ate more than one meal in my room, but it was as if I had sat downstairs at the actual restaurant – the food was SO GOOD! Some of the best damn french fries I’ve ever had, if I’m being honest.
I booked the smallest room available since I was paying for it myself for three nights, but there was so much space! The bathroom was enormous too, and featured this incredible privacy glass that became opaque with the touch of a button. I had so much fun playing with that!! Finally, the location of the hotel can’t be beat. It’s right along the river walk and just steps to all of the best restaurants in River North and shopping on Magnificent Mile!
Needless to say, The Langham is going to be my go-to hotel rec for Chicago going forward. Obsessed! Definitely check it out for your next trip to the windy city!
