CHIC ESPADRILLES AND WEDGES FOR SUMMER

04.19
LA VIE REBECCA TAYLOR RED FLORAL HALTER MIDI DRESS | CASTANER GOLD ESPADRILLES

As we head into wedding and graduation season (and summer travel!), you may have the need for a sturdier heel than your go-to stilettos. For events outside on the grass, at the beach or in my case cobblestones for an upcoming wedding in San Miguel, I generally opt for a fancy flat sandal, a thick block heel or some kind of espadrille/wedge!

After receiving a few questions specifically about wedges during my Monday Q&A on InstaStories, I thought I’d round up my favorite styles of the season for you to shop. During the Q&A I recommended Jimmy Choo, because I have a pair of nude patent wedges from a few years ago… but naturally all they have are cork wedges right now (which I don’t love). So see below for some other recommendations!!

  • Obviously I’m biased since I own them, but these gold espadrilles are SO comfortable! Gold is such a useful neutral in my spring/summer wardrobe – I know you’ve heard me talk about my Chanel flats a bunch already. These espadrilles are so easy to walk around in and look great with every sundress I own! They come in a bunch of other colors here and here!
  • These are probably my favorite pair of neutral wedges I’ve found. Super chic with the scalloped edges! More sizes available here and here.
  • These Stuart Weitzman wedges and these Prada patent wedges both look like good alternatives to the Jimmy Choo style I was talking about! Both neutral and comfortable.
  • Love the perforated details on these wedges!
  • The wedge on this Schutz pair is pretty high, but they look so damn sleek. They also come in gold!
  • These gold wedge espadrilles are pretty too and a great price point!
  • For a more casual style, I think these are pretty cute.
  • These simple suede wedges are a great everyday neutral! Another good price.

PS: how fab is this dress?! I’ve been meaning to add more red to my wardrobe (it’s one of my favorite statement colors!), and when I saw this floral midi before my Charleston trip I knew it would be a great summer addition. The tied back is so fun, don’t you think? Obsessed! I’m wearing a small, but honestly could have sized down to an XS – the smocked part of the back droops a little bit on me which I didn’t notice when I first tried it on. So my advice would be to size down!
