If y’all follow me on SnapChat (username: merrittbeck), you may remember me freezing my ass off for these photos! We passed through the Tracy Arm Fjord very early in the morning, and I was invited at 6am to the helipad on the Celebrity Solstice to get photos of the fjord and Dawes Glacier. I never was that cold outside on the ship until this morning. They provided blankets, but it was NOT enough! I definitely should have brought gloves and worn more layers. It was SO cold and windy! It took my fingers a full hour to defrost and get feeling back.

Pain and cold aside, the Tracy Arm Fjord and Dawes Glacier were beautiful! It was worth the suffering to snap these photos and collect content for my Alaska Travel Video. According to the captain on the ship, the Dawes Glacier loses about 16 feet vertically of ice every day – so don’t wait, if you want to see these in person! With the world warming up as quickly it is, these glaciers won’t be around forever.

This is my last post from my Alaska adventure, but stay tuned on my travel page for new content soon! I actually have some long lost London content to share with you in the coming weeks…
