Last night I dined at the hottest new restaurant in Houston, Up, with my friend Nina over at The HSS Feed. This swanky space features a great patio, open dining area and great lighting throughout. The atmosphere feels very young and hip regardless of the older clientele we saw (40’s-60’s).

We began our evening with a white wine flight, some crispy brussel sprouts and artichoke hearts paired with red bell pepper and goat cheese dip. For my meal I chose the light red snapper with citrus butter (pictured above), while NIna went with the succulent short ribs. We ended our meal with the dessert sampler featuring small slivers of cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake, lemon tart and creme brulee. Obviously, my favorite thing was the dessert (I have a massive sweet tooth)!

The meal was delicious, but we wished it had been a slightly younger crowd. Visit Up for lunch or dinner in Highland Village, at the corner of Drexel and Westheimer!
